Can one person drink at every bar in San Francisco?

Gold Dust Lounge – Union Square

Despite being a tourist Mecca, Gold Dust Lounge is a fantastic little bar that every local should visit. At night there is live music and the bar gets pretty packed, but during the day Gold Dust is a mellow oasis with $3.50 champagne, margaritas and Irish coffees.

I’ve always had a soft spot for dilapidated luxury, and Gold Dust’s well worn Victorian inspired decor fits the bill perfectly. The comfy couches and long wooden bar beckon exhausted Union Square shoppers in for a midday tipple.

Great entry & nice pics! I have enjoyed the Gold Dust for years as a great located joint to grab a pop before or after a night out, usually with friends. Never paid close attention to the band until a couple weeks ago on a late-night solo trip. Let me just say: that band is subversive! The fun & filth they change greatest hits songs’ lyrics to are incredible. And at that hour, 95% of the bar is too drunk, chatty, or foreign to notice.
    Anyhow, love your blargh!
    Best to you & Cheers!!
