Can one person drink at every bar in San Francisco?

Mr. Bings – Chinatown

Mr. Bings has a triangular bar, which makes it one of the coolest spaces I’ve been to. Initially the vibe was kind of disappointing. The bar was brightly lit and empty, and the bartender was watching Nascar at full volume, not exactly conducive to the rocking night out I desired. However, once the Chinese liquor started flowing, the vibe instantly became friendlier and everyone loosened up and started really enjoying themselves.

My second favorite thing about Mr. Bings is the vintage Aqua Net vending machine in the ladies’ bathroom. There is a pretty amazing vending machine in the men’s room as well, but I’ll let you discover that for yourself.

Even though Mr. Bings kind of had the vibe of an oldtimers sports bar, it’s where our first night out in Chinatown took a turn for the better. I’d like to see what the bar is like on a night that isn’t dead.

  1. I am curious as to what is in the men’s room. I’ll have to actually visit SF to do that. Great updates, keep up the good work.
