Can one person drink at every bar in San Francisco?

Union Square Sports Bar – Tenderloin

First things first, whoever named this bar Union Square Sports Bar was definitely a glass half full kind of person. This is without a doubt a Tenderloin bar. The bar owner also has a love for flat screen t.v.’s, so much so that there are 18(!) in a ring around the bar.

I’ll be honest, this place kind of squicks me out. The bartender was super friendly, but the atmosphere can only be described as unbearable. I was told this place used to be your run of the mill shabby sports pub, which would have been fine with me, but they renovated it and threw out the charm along with the garbage. This bar is big and loud and shiny in all of the wrong ways.

Also, the drinks are on the high end for the TL.

If you feel the need to watch 18 games at once while sitting in a brightly lit room, then this is the place for you. The service was certainly nice enough, and… well that’s about all I can say. It’s an uber sports bar, and there you have it.
